Grandson of both Sephardic and Ashkenazi cantors, Ariel Lazarus is a diverse and busy composer-performer with works ranging from symphonic suites and concertos to theatre productions, folk songs arrangements and contemporary music. Ariel and his ensemble have played in Germany, Luxembourg, France, Gibraltar, Hungary, USA, and Israel.
 
Ariel studied Classical guitar with Yaron Hason at the Hed College of Music in Tel-Aviv and composition with Edward Knight at Oklahoma City University where he obtained his MA diploma. He is currently working on his PhD in music composition at the Bar Ilan University under Betty Olivero and Gideon Lewinson
